The Fisher-Price Collectors Club is most active in the spring and summer months leading up to the convention, but throughout the year we post club news and other Fisher-Price toy updates. (For chatting throughout the year with other collectors, definitely see our Facebook groups!). This page will have updates on convention news, upcoming toy sales, Gabby Goose newsletter information and mailings, and more.

Also, check our Home Page for the most recent messages about upcoming conventions, as sometimes that page is updated before this one.

DECEMBER 17, 2023 UPDATE: The club is very sad to report the passing of long-time member Jacquie Hamblin. Jacquie was the heart and soul of the club for many years, serving as president, membership coordinator, Gabby Goose editor plus so many other duties! She kept us going during some lean times, and helped guide the club to grow and thrive. Jacquie lived a long life with a loving family at her side, and spent much time volunteering, doing hobbies, and participating in charitable activities. Jacquie's family wrote a beautiful tribute which can be read here.

APRIL 25, 2021 UPDATE: WE ARE HAVING OUR SALE AND DINNER!!! See posts above for more info! This update originally was a sad depressing post about how New York is not lifting Covid restrictions, and will keep everything closed and us all masked in perpetuity. As of late April, few restrictions had been lifted so we were going to cancel our sale and dinner yet again. BUT FINALLY in May enough restrictions were lifted so the club's dinner, sale and even the Chamber of Commerce's Street and Sidewalk Sale IS ON! The sale will be on Saturday July 24th at the Blazing Star Masonic Lodge in East Aurora NY from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. YES!!!!!

JANUARY 23, 2021 UPDATE: Hello club members and all Fisher-Price fans! Many of you have asked about membership for the 2020-2021 year. Due to the current covid situation, we extended all current memberships for another year while we wait until the world gets in a better place, and we can get together again. The good news is the most recent Gabby Goose newsletter was mailed out in December 2020, so all 2020 club members should have received it! Many thanks to Kara for being our editor for this edition! No idea yet on whether the club will get together in the summer of 2021. While we wait for the world to heal, please join us in the Fisher-Price Facebook Groups so we can keep on collecting, chatting and staying in touch!

JANUARY 1st, 2021 UPDATE: Happy New Year from the Fisher-Price Collectors Club! The Little People celebrate as the Teaching Clock strikes midnight! We can only hope for a better year ahead!

NOVEMBER 2020 UPDATE: Due to our cancelled 2020 convention and the ongoing covid situation, the club will be "on pause" for now while we wait it out. All current members had their membership extended for another full year (covering the 2020-2021 year). The Gabby Goose newsletter is also on pause, so don't worry if you haven't received one in awhile! All current club members were mailed an envelope in October explaining the membership extension. But we aren't just twiddling our thumbs, as many of our collectors have been very busy with their collections during their stay-at-home time! Please join us in our Facebook Groups to see people's displays, see everyone's new toy finds, and generally just chat about Fisher-Price and stay in touch!

MAY 30, 2020 UPDATE: We are sad to report that the club's July 2020 Convention and Sale has been cancelled, which was expected. Due to Covid restrictions in New York, no large gatherings are permitted indefinitely in the state. The Fisher-Price Collectors Club's annual sale is part of a larger event, the East Aurora Chamber of Commerce's Street and Sidewalk Sale, which has been cancelled. As a result, the club is not getting together in 2020 (no dinner, no sale, no nothing). We look forwards to 2021, hoping the situaiton will have improved by then. Please join us chatting in our Facebook Groups so we can keep collecting, chatting and stay in touch!

MAY 10, 2020 UPDATE: With the uncertain times going on right now, The Fisher-Price Collectors Club's annual show and sale is still awaiting word on what to do this summer. The dates are July 24-25, 2020 in East Aurora NY. The sale is part of the East Aurora Chamber of Commerce's Street and Sidewalk sale, and they are awaiting decisions by the State of NY. Please check back on to this site for updates as they come.

February 17, 2020 UPDATE: Collectors, mark your calendars! The date is set - the Fisher-Price Collector Club's next annual Toy Show and Sale is Saturday July 25, 2020 in East Aurora NY! The times are 9:00am to 2:30 pm. The location is the Blazing Star Masonic Lodge at 645 Main Street. This is the same location for the sale as the prior few years. More information will be mailed to club members as the time gets closer. For more details, see our updated Toy Sale Page!.

December 22, 2019 UPDATE: Collectors, check your mailboxes! The November 2019 and December 2019 issues of the Gabby Goose newsletter were mailed out this week! The November issue is all about our July 2019 convention. The December issue is very special, as it showcases just about every ornament Fisher-Price made for Christmas! And in full color as well! It shows the Hallmark ornaments, Department 56 ornaments, and even some made by Fisher-Price for their employees. Many thanks to our wonderful editor and those who helped her put together such a unique and well-researched newsletter! Visit our updated Gabby Goose Newsletter Page for more info about the newsletters.

August 31, 2019: Convention 2019 is in the books! The club had a very nice turnout, and we all had a great time celebrating the club's 25th anniversary! The special tour at the Fisher-Price factory campus was the highlight of the convention! The sale did well, and the dinner was well attended at this year's restaurant, Riley Street Station. The club is already preparing for next year's convention, also planned for the last full weekend in July in 2020! Club members, as always, we appreciate your membership which makes the conventions happen!

July 21, 2019: Convention 2019 is just about here!! Pack your bags and hop in your nifty station wagon (or whatever you drive!), or head to the airport and board the Funjet, and we will see you in East Aurora NY!

June 18, 2019: Convention 2019 is getting close! If you are a club member and want to attend the annual dinner, if you haven't yet, mail back your invitations (that came with the March Gabby Goose newsletter) to Tammy very soon! Or if you like, you can pay at the club's Paypal Page Here. We need to know how many at the dinner by June 30th so we can give the restaurant a headcount. To renew membership for next year, send back the form (that came with the March Gabby Goose) by September 1st! See our page at Convention 2019 for all the details about what's going on in July!

June 17, 2019: The club's next sale is Saturday July 27th, 2019. For information about hours, directions and parking, see our Updated Annual Toy Sale Page Here.

May 28, 2019: About 2 months until the convention! The club is now advertising to the public for more vendors for our Saturday July 27th Toy sale. So if anyone is interested in setting up a table to sell their Fisher-Price toys, email us at fpclub@att.net and we will forward your info to Becky, our sale chairperson! She will then contact you, and send a contract if you decide to sell. You do not have to be a club member to be a vendor at the sale. Tables are $45 to rent, and an additional fee for more tables (space permitting). Also see our page at 2019 Potential Vendor Information.

March 26, 2019: Our editor and board members got it done!! The March 2019 issue of the Gabby Goose was mailed out to club members, along with a bonus Easter edition in full color! Also included are invitations to the July 26-27th 2019 convention in East Aurora NY! Collectors, check your mailboxes!

February 5th, 2019: Convention 2019 is SET!!! The dates are Friday July 26th and Saturday July 27th, 2019 in beautiful East Aurora NY! Like in prior years, the sit-down dinner will be held on Friday and the sale will be on Saturday. The sale will be once again at the Blazing Star Masonic Lodge on Main Street in East Aurora NY. Hours will be 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, rain or shine! More information will be posted on our Convention 2019 Page and our Annual Toy Sale Page. The sale is open to everyone, not just club members! So everyone, mark your calendars!

Also due to life circumstances taking priority, the Gabby Goose newsletter has been delayed. We apologize for the delay, and will update the Gabby Goose Page when it is done.

January 21, 2019: We added a new page to this site for the Adventure People fans out there - now you can see all the Illustrated carded figures on one page! The Fisher-Price Adventure People were a line of toys produced from around the mid 1970's to mid 1980's and many sets and figures are popular to collect. This page has photos and descriptions of the figures that came on illustrated cards (Brainoid, Clawtron, Opticon and many more!), all of which had amazing graphics! Click here to see the page!

January 18, 2019: The webmaster is still awaiting official word on Convention 2019 and our annual toy sale. Should hear something soon!

December 25, 2018: Happy holidays to all! Anyone remember getting Fisher-Price toys for the Christmas when you were little? Many members of the club had Fisher-Price toys as a child and cherish those special memories.

December 20, 2018: The club is in the "off-season" right now, so not much going on. No official plans have been finalized yet for next year's events; we will update people as word comes in from the board. We are in the process of a long-overdue overhaul of the website, so bear with us as we slowly get things uploaded and remove bugs from the code!

September 16th, 2018: Convention 2018 was held on July 27-28 in East Aurora NY. We had a nice turnout, a super fun dinner, and the sellers were pleased with how well the sell went! Photos of the convention were posted in our Facebook groups, namely Tammy's Fisher-Price Collectors Club (See links here at Facebook Groups). There are some changes with the club, as we had a new president elected and some changes in members of the board. As with any non-profit run by volunteers, we hope to stay strong going into 2019, but there could always be changes ahead if the club just doesn't have the manpower to do things. 2019 will be the club's silver anniversary, so it's been discussed doing some fun things at the next convention!

July 16th, 2018: We're getting closer to Convention 2018! For club members who want to attend the dinner, send back your invitations (mailed the end of June with the Gabby Goose newsletter) to Tammy as soon as possible so we can get an accurate head count! The raffle prizes have been chosen and they are SUPER COOL! We have 2 signed drawings by the one-and-only Bruce Inglis, long-time club member and former Fisher-Price employee. One drawing is Toyfest's Snoopy, and one is the very classic Buzzy Bee. For club member to attend the dinner, renew membership or buy raffle tickets online, see our PayPal Page.

June 29, 2018: OK CLUB MEMBERS, HERE WE GO! The June Gabby Goose newsletter was just mailed out, with the invitations to the convention included inside it! So both are coming in one envelope this year, and should be arriving very soon! If you want to come to the convention dinner, fill out the form and send payment to secure your spot! Everyone can also renew membership and buy raffle tickets for our annual fundraiser (the prize is still being decided as of this writing). If anyone wants to sell at the sale, we are looking for more vendors! We are now open to everyone, club members and general public alike! For more information about potentially being a seller, see our page at Vendor 2018 Information!

May 15, 2018: The club is continuing to gear up for our annual convention! Check out our page at Our Annual Toy Sale for information about the July 28th Sale, and Convention 2018 Page for events for club members. Invitations to the convention will be mailed out to club members later in the spring. Stay tuned!

March 9, 2018: Collectors, check your mailboxes! The newest issue of the Gabby Goose newsletter was mailed out in early March. More information about this issue can be found on our Gabby Goose webpage. This is the first issue of 2018. We have a new editor taking over, and the club very much appreciates all the work she has done! Convention 2018 is pretty much set in stone - the club will have the annual dinner on Friday July 27, 2018 and then the sale the next day on Saturday July 28th. Club member have first priority in selling, so if you are a member and interested, send us an email at fpclub.org! More information will be mailed to club members this spring about attending the dinner and selling at the sale. Stayed tuned!

December 15, 2017: The club is, more or less, in the "off-season" right now, and on hiatus until 2018. Due to a variety of reasons, the next Gabby Goose newsletter has been delayed until early 2018. We have a new editor taking over, as the prior editor resigned, so there will be a "learning curve" as the new editor gets up and running. The club may also have new officers and members of the board (still being discussed) for 2018. The next convention and Toy Sale has been set for July 27 - 28, 2018, so mark those calendars!

August 6, 2017: Convention 2017 was awesome! The sale did the best in years! The dinner was super fun and filled with Fisher-Price games, good food, and lots of chat! The sale was PACKED at opening, and some sellers report having the best sale in many years. The club was concerned that we may not have enough sellers going forward because some of our regular sellers are retiring from the business, so we got the word out we were looking for new sellers. It worked - some new collectors already showed interest in selling next year, so much that we already booked the Masonic Lodge in East Aurora for 2018! So yes, mark your calendars for Saturday July 28th, 2018 - the next sale is already being planned! Happy to report that club member Nancy from Ohio won the raffle prize of the 1994 reproduction Dr. Doodle! The next newsletter will have articles about all that went on during Convention 2017. Also see the Facebook Groups for more from the convention, as some of our club members were sharing updates and photos! Many thanks to the club members and everyone who made Convention 2017 a big success!

July 27, 2017: It's time! Convention 2017 is right ahead! Pack your bags and hit the road! For club members, see Convention 2017 for information about events for club members. For everyone out there, the Toy Sale is 9:00 to 3:00 on Saturday July 29th at the Masonic Lodge at 645 Main in East Aurora NY. See Our Toy Sale Page for more info. For everyone coming, see you soon in East Aurora NY!

July 21, 2017: We're getting close! Unfortunately due to a malfunction at the print shop, the July 2017 newsletter was delayed for 4 days and is getting mailed out today. It may not arrive in time for some people leaving for the convention next week, so please email us at fpclub@att.net if you have any questions needing answering before you go! And if you are a club member and did not receive the invitation to the dinner and want to come, yes please email us quickly! The sale is looking small this year with only 6 vendors, but one is selling tons of Little People sets and pieces, so yeah, there will be good stuff!!

June 28, 2017: Ok, we are getting closer! For club members out there, invitations to the convention and membership renewal were just mailed out. They were mailed on envelopes using our Vice President's personal stationary (not club stationary like the newsletters), so keep an open eye for it! If you are coming to the convention and do not receive your envelope in the next week or so, email us at fpclub@att.net and we will make sure you get one! Our Paypal page is up and running here.

June 18, 2017: We made an internet meme to celebrate Father's Day, done in Little People style, of course!

May 18, 2017: We're starting to gear up for Convention 2017! Barely 2 months away! We have openings for more vendors for the annual sale on July 29, 2017. We have a handful of club members set to sell, and we have space for a few more sellers. We are now opening selling to non-club members too. If you are a club member or a non-club-member and thinking about selling your FP toys, see our page at Vendor 2017 Information for more details!

April 5, 2017: Mark your calendars! The club's next Annual Toy Show and Sale will be Saturday July 29, 2017 at the Blazing Star Masonic Lodge, located at 645 Main Street in East Aurora NY. Hours are 9:00 to 3:00, rain or shine! This is the same location that the club used last year. For club members, the next convention is July 28 - 29, 2017. We are having the annual dinner on Friday July 28th at Bravo Cafe and Catering in Elma NY. Full details are listed in the April newsletter of the Gabby Goose, which was just mailed out! So collectors, check your mailboxes!

February 28, 2017: My apologies for any new members or people contacting the club over the last few weeks. We are somewhat in the "off-season" right now (with people who handle things are either traveling or just very busy), so some club business has not been slow to get done. Hopefully we will catch up soon!

December 23, 2016: The December 2016 newsletter was mailed out to club members right before Christmas. This is a very special issue - it is dedicated to long-time club member Sandy Rose, who passed away in November 2016. We will miss her terribly. The newsletter shares many memories and photos of Sandy and her family with the club through the years. See the Gabby Goose Newsletter page to see more information about the December 2016 newsletter, plus answers to the Adventure People Crossword Puzzle.

December 15, 2016: We received questions concerning a "new toy" by Fisher-Price called the "Happy Hour Playset". This supposed new toy has been circulating on people's social media feeds. This "toy" is designed for preschoolers, and features a pretend bar with pretend beer bottles and pretend bar stools. People have been wondering if this is real, and some are up-in-arms about the demented morals of society to produce such a toy. Happy to say, "Happy Hour" is a joke!!! A total internet joke made by a very good meme designer. Fisher-Price even had to issue a disclaimer assuring people that this is not a real toy by their company. It is not real. AT ALL!! Our club knows it can't be real since no one owns one. (If it were real, true collectors would already have 2 - one to play with, and one mint-in-the-box!!). The scale of the box to how large the toy would be also doesn't look right (another hint it is fake). A link to an article about the "toy" can be found here.

The Toy Show and Sale will be held on Saturday July 30th, at the Blazing Star Masonic Lodge on Main Street in East Aurora NY. This is a new location for us and puts our sale right on Main Street during the Chamber Of Commerce's Street Festival, so we are quite excited to see how this new location does! February 3, 2015: Did some upgrading and updating of this website. The Convention 2015 page is up and running, which will have details about the upcoming convention this summer. The Toy Sale Page is also updated for 2015, now listing the next sale date of July 25, 2015. Also some new pages have been added to this site: a page about our newsletter The Gabby Goose (the actual newsletter is not available online, it is mailed out to club members); plus a Facebook Groups and Pages which has links to places to chat with other Fisher-Price fans, or to get club information. Check it out!

February 2, 2015: Some very sad news to report. The Fisher-Price Collectors Club was informed by his family that author Brad Cassity has passed away, in mid January 2015. Brad wrote the very popular "yellow" Fisher-Price book, Fisher-Price Toys: A Pictorial Price Guide to the More Popular Toys . Many club members knew him well, and helped contribute photos to his wonderful book. The club sends their condolences to his family in this difficult time.

February 1, 2015: Happy to report, the Fisher-Price Collectors Club has set the dates of our next convention: Friday July 24th and Saturday July 25, 2015. The Toy Show and Sale is tentatively set for Saturday July 25th, as part of the East Aurora Chamber of Commerce's Street and Sidewalk Sale (which is listed for July 25th on their website calendar now). January 17, 2015: Welcome to the new year! The Fisher-Price Collectors Club is starting to plan ahead into 2015. The next Gabby Goose newsletter will be in the spring. If anyone wants to chat, our Facebook groups are still quite active even in the dead of winter! (Check the last Gabby Goose newsletter for the Facebook group links).

These were the Little People made from 1990-1996, and affectionately called "The Chunky Little People" by collectors. If you go to YouTube.com and search for "Happy Honda Days Little People", hopefully the video will come up!

Also mailed out were the dues for next year ($25) plus raffle tickets for our fundraiser this year - the 1993 Toyfest toy named Jingle Elephant. If you can come to the dinner, mail back your invitation and check by July 9th, since the American Legion needs a headcount. The dinner is always a fun time - if you can make it, COME!!

May 27, 2014: The Toy Show and Sale's plans are coming along, and we have a few more spots for potential vendors. If you are a club member interested in selling your collectible toys, email us at fpclub@att.net! July 19, 2013: Club members, if you can come to the dinner, mail your invitations and check back to Jacquie pronto! We have to get an exact (or pretty darn close) headcount for the restaurant. We already met our minimum amount of people, so we are good to go!

Also mailed out were the dues for next year, and raffle tickets. Dues are due back by Sept 1st. This year's raffle prize is a Pebbles Camel, a Toyfest reproduction toy. This is the club's 20th anniversary, so a special year for us! Hope all you club members can make it!

June 19, 2013: Yes, FINALLY The Fisher-Price Collectors Club has entered the world of Facebook! We have a new page that contains general information about the club. And hopefully soon will have updates about our Toy Sale and convention, plus some fun general Fisher-Price toy trivia and tidbits. Anyone can "like" the page - club members or anyone else out there! The hours are 9:00 until 2:30ish. Some vendors may pack up earlier than 2:30, so it's better to get there on the earlier side! There will be vintage Fisher-Price toys for sale - Little People, wooden pull toys, Toyfest reproductions, newer Little People, other lines of older collectible toys. See photos on the Convention 2012 page to get an idea of how big this sale is, and what you may find!

April 7, 2013: If anyone has a young daughter ages 3 - 6 who likes picture books, there is a new one just published that has a small connection to a classic Fisher-Price toy! In the book Emeraldalicious by Victoria Kann, the main character is a young girl who finds her favorite woods has been turned into a garbage dump. With some magic, she reuses many of the items in new ways to promote the idea of recycling. If you look closely in the background when she is surrounded by garbage, there is a classic Fisher-Price chatter phone! The phone appears on 3 different pages. Takes some eagle eyes to see the chatter phone among the garbage, but there it is! Nice to see a chatter phone get a little recognition in the year 2013!

February 19, 2013: Collectors, check your mailboxes! The most recent copy of the Gabby Goose Newsletter was mailed out!

July 6, 2012: I updated the Toy Sale Page - The Toy sale is on Saturday July 28th, in East Aurora NY, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church on Pine Street. Map included on that page. Also, club members - return your convention invitations/dues soon so we can do a head count!

May 23, 2012: Collectors, check your mailboxes (I mean your real mailboxes, not the one with your #2500 Fisher-Price Main Street set) - Gabby Goose newsletter was mailed out! We are looking for some more club members to write articles - check the last page of the Gabby Goose for more details.

April 24, 2012: Convention 2012 is set for Friday July 27 and Saturday July 28, 2012! There is one main difference from prior years - the dinner is going to be on Friday night instead of Saturday. Check the Convention 2012 for details as they come. Start making your plans!

February 25, 2012: Fisher-Price toys were featured in the December 14th, 2011 edition of the magazine Antique Trader recently. It mentions the Top 10 Fisher-Price toys to collect, with 1936's Pushcart Pete having a value in the $9000 range. Wow, wished I owned something on that list! The article is written by Bruce Fox, who wrote the popular Fisher-Price Toys Guide Book. To see the article, click here!. (Hope the links works; it may not work forever!).

January, 2012: Yeah! A new replica toy has been released. This one is the Fisher-Price Changeable Picture Disk Camera #112. The original one was made from around the late 1960's until around 1972. The original camera had discs sold with it, that you would place in the camera to view scenes. I personally never had this camera growing up, and never came across one in all my time in rummage and yard sales, so I am quite curious about it! Not sure what stores are selling the replica, but I see it being sold online in various places. Check it out!

December 5, 2011: Collectors, check your mailboxes! The Fall issue of the Gabby Goose was mailed out. Lots of fun stuff - Ted writes more about the wind-up music boxes; we recount the events of the 2011 summer convention; the "Getting To Know You" article is about our youngest member ever (at 6 years old!); plus more! Sit on down and enjoy!

November 11, 2011: For those who enjoy decorating for Christmas, remember to stop by a Hallmark Store and look for the new Fisher-Price ornaments. This year, there is the red Music Box Teaching Clock, and the Play Family House (the yellow/blue one). The attention to detail is amazing, and the quality is awesome! There is also an ornament based on Snoopy Sniffer called "Snoop 'N Sniff", which was released in limited quantites and will be harder to find. So go out there and get your ornaments, because you may wind up buying them at super expensive prices later on Ebay if you don't (just look at what the Barn ornament sells for - yikes!).

September 16, 2011: Everyone recovered from Convention 2011 yet? Got all of your new toys displayed? Hope so! Also Chat is continuing on Tuesday nights at 9:00 pm Eastern Time - drop by and chat, or just leave a message! The password and link to the Chatzy site is listed in the last issue of the Gabby Goose.

July 18, 2011: Collectors, check your mailboxes! The Summer issue of the Gabby Goose was mailed out - should be arriving around now. All the Convention 2011 information is in there; plus Ted F. has an article; also some new members share their stories; plus much more! Hope everyone is getting ready for next week's sale and dinner!

The events this year are: A Social Hour at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (43 Pine Street) at 3:00 on Friday July 29th; The Toy Sale at the church on Saturday July 30th from 9:00 to 2:30ish; the dinner (be there by 6:30!) at the Village Kitchen Cafe on Saturday night. Ted F. is speaking this year (which will make you want to beef up your wind-up toy collection!). Join us for the fun! Click here to see the Convention 2011 webpage.

June 10, 2011: I added a new PDF membership application on the Join The Club page. Yeah trying to modernize a bit!

Early May, 2010: The Gabby Goose was mailed out - Collectors check your mailboxes!

June 2009: Sad news to report - The Fisher-Price Collectors Club will not be having an Antique Toy Show and Sale this year. Like the two frowning Little People shown here, we aren't happy about it, but alas there were many reasons for this decision.

May 2009: More sad news to report - the Toytown Museum on Girard Street in East Aurora has closed, and it appears this is permanent. They may be looking for another location, but it remains to be seen what happens next. A huge loss to toy collectors everywhere.

May 2009: The Spring Gabby Goose newsletter was mailed - collectors, check your mailboxes!

March 2009: Good news!! In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Little People, Fisher-Price has produced 4 new commemorative toys, in a retro style in remembrance of the classic Little People. They are called the "Little People Play 'n Go", and the 4 new toys are a house, fire station, farm, and school house. The new toys have a base made of light-weight plastic and tin, with plastic Little People and some accessories. Sadly the Little People figures are large and chunky, but alas, that's how things are made in current times for safety reasons. Nice to see the vintage Little People being remembered today!

December 2008: The Winter Gabby Goose Newsletter was mailed out - check it out!

August 2008: Our annual convention was held over the weekend of August 22-24, 2008, in East Aurora NY. Click here to see photos! It was a fun time for all!
